Aqualyze has developed a suite of hydraulic modeling tools to be used in wastewater, stormwater, and combined sewer systems modeling and planning.
These tools utilize the EPA SWMM 5 model or GIS shape files for data manipulation. This is a GIS-centric application with mapping user interface
allowing data mapping in real coordinates. Our tools utilize sophisticated third-party mapping controls as well as custom relational
databases to achieve these tasks and can be customized for any hydraulic modeling software platform.
This application allows the user to interactively slice contours data on a map using shape files and custom tools to generate a table of open
channel cross-sections, thus eliminating the need for surveying. With Transect Builder the user can:
- build open channel cross-sections by intersection contours shape file
- generate a table of stations and elevations
- export data to text file or SWMM 5 INP file
- work in GIS-centric environment.
This application is used to split large models in sub-models interactively by selecting boundary nodes. With Model Splitter the user can:
- open large SWMM5 model in GIS-centric environment
- select multiple boundary nodes at both upstream and downstream ends
- auto-trace the system between boundary nodes and verify connectivity
- create a fully functional sub-model including all related model elements.
Model Merger is essentially the opposite of Model Splitter, which is used to merge multiple sub-models into a single large model.
With Model Merger the user can:
- select individual models or a whole directory to be merged
- define primary model and secondary model(s) to be merged
- view the component in GIS-centric environment
- create SWMM5 file INP file and open in SWMM5 shell.
This application is used to estimate missing manhole and pipe data from the source GIS files to be use in model construction.
The data viewer can highlight missing data from nodes and links files based on user-defined queries that can be addressed and
fixed using the pipe calculator. With this tool the user can:
- identify missing inverts, diameters, lengths, and various essential hydraulic modeling parameters
- iteratively fill data gaps using various methods of inference
- perform diagnostics to ensure data gaps are filled.
The CIP Generator evaluates the current pipe capacity and modeled peak flow to determine capacity deficiency and design sizes of pipes for
subsequent modeling. With Pipe Generator the user can:
- find pipe capacity deficiency using d/D ratio, q/Qmax ratio, depth above crown, or freeboard
- determine (standard) pipe size required to convey maximum peak flow
- update model file new pipe sizes
- generate CIP projects and theirs costs using user-provided unit cost tables.
This application is very useful in building a SWMM 5 model of any size from GIS shape files containing nodes and links data of various structures.
With SWMM 5 INP Developer the user can:
- import data from shape files, csv (text), and dbf utilizing field mapping to match source and destination fields
- save field mapping for future use
- provide default values at the time of import if they don’t exist in the source database (e.g. Manning’s coefficient)
- generate SWMM5 file
This application is developed to read the SWMM5 binary output file to graphically review any time series data exported from a given model run.
With SWMM5 Output Analyzer the user can:
- review time series graphs individually or superimposed for multiple elements or multiple scenarios
- export data to text or spreadsheet files.
